The Red Bull X Fighters show is heading to London on August 22. If you enjoy watching men defy gravity before plunging back down to earth in a blizzard of rapturous applause and splintering limbs, this is good news.
If you’ve never heard of the X Fighters, we’ve dug out this handy YouTube video-game-type-thing by way of explanation.
The game works a bit like this: choose your rider, select a trick – usually called something like the MentalFlip or Spinnermajigger or something like that – and watch your motorbiking minion go head to head with another adrenaline-fulled loon.
Good, clean fun – though you can’t help but feel a little responsible when your rider clatters to the dirt with a noise that sounds uncannily like the snap of a major tendon.
We’ll be at Battersea Power Station later this month to watch it all happen for real. Anyone coming along?
