Stumbled across this in a bored moment on You Tube – an animation made by Chrysler for the 1939 World’s Fair:
There’s a whiff of Looney Tunes about it – especially in the music – and we love the way the odd random dancing car part leaps at you in faux-3D.
Must’ve been a sight in the late ’30s. Compare that to the Chrysler stand at Geneva this year. Not quite so upbeat, eh?
Oh, and do all those flying car components remind you of that Honda ad (back in the days when it was ok to dump sizable cash on telly commercials)?

I remember that Honda ad… I still love it to pieces (pun intended). I heard it was actually filmed in 2 separate parts because the room they set everything up in was not long enough. Apart from that, I wonder how many takes they had to make.
The Audi R8 commercial (The slowest car we’ve ever built) is a modern version of that Chrysler animation. Beautiful commercial.
I love that Honda ad. They had a huge amount of problems when they tried to do this but eventually, after a lot of attempts, they finally made it. At 0:30 the tires are weighted and at some point they had to slow down the film slightly.
Im not sure about the Chrysler ad though, it’s a little, random and boring, luckily TV ads have moved on.
I love the new BMW Z4 ad ‘ An Expression Of Joy’ and the weird thing is that i don’t know why. I think it’s because it’s not like most boring ad’s, it’s different, and that’s good.
(I have that Honda cog advert on a free DVD I got at a Motor Show!)
Honda’s Impossible Dream was a very good ad, so was Honda’s “Hate Something, Change Something” Diesel advert. Even Honda’s new Insight commercial with all the headlights making pictures is awesome, and Honda’s Live Accord Skydiving ad. And that Problem Playground where they made a giant FCX Clarity jigsaw.
I’m seeing a pattern here…
Now I see where Audi got the idea from..hehe..I was expecting Bugs or Tweety to make a special appearance

i dislike the audi commercial, because i am a loyal ferrari fan, but the ford commercials crack me up. the chrysler one jsut went on way too long.

If you like the Honda commercial, you are going to love the remote control lawn mower t.v. commercial. Honda should start making remote control lawn mowers.
I just bought a Chrysler 300C from http://www.cheapchryslerj eep.co.uk for just £19995 brand new! It was delivered yesterday and the car is fantastic, the seats are a bit flat when going round corners fast you slide a little but it is seriousley quick for the size of it.
