Walls of death.

Also ‘fifty-foot drops of death’ and ‘Armco of death’. He’s fighting the wheel here – and is very quick as far as I can tell. Try not to fall off the edge of your seat…

That is some of the best footage I have EVER seen! Rockin’!

Can anyone shed any light on who it is and what they’re driving?

Yes, he’s fighting it, he’s having to wait until he’s straightened up before putting the hammer down.

Somewhere in the Med probably, France maybe?

I’ve been told Audi V12 and BMW V8, but nothing definite. I’d really love to know about this! Talented driving plus enormous mechanical grip = HUGE fun.

If you know – please let me know!

I doubt that’s a V8 wit hthat noise. It almost sounded Aston-ish (I know it isn’t an AM, it just sounds like one), so I’d say V12.

    *Surfs YouTube*

AHA!! It’s a BMW Norma M20. Whatever the hell that is. Search Norma M20 and you just get this video posted a bunch of times by different people.

    He’s in Sainte Beaume, apparently.

For the first time ever I have screamed while watching a youtube clip (exept 2girls1cup, but that was a different kind of screamng). It is enjoyable in the end when he has a clear rythm and just dances, but in the beginning when he goes full on as if it was a straigt line (where there obviously is none) it is just horrifying. In a good sense that is, of cause.

I’ve been trying to find a better quality version of this video today, but without success.

Bit of a topic deviation, but I just found this:

    http://www.youtube.com/wa tch?v=A2FpIypzonI

Sebastian Loeb does a demonstration in a C4. Its not quite “Gymkhana”, but its pretty impressive driving none the less.

It’s a BMW V8, maybe out of the M3, but that’s not the radical, the radicar would probably be faster.

To PJ: Check the link in Mikeado’s post (#7); the engine is the 3 litre straight 6 from a BMW M3.

there is a lot of races like that in italy and the championship is called “cronoscalata” (time attack climbing, or something).

Italians use prototypes and historical cars for it, it depends

Showie, if you look closely, he knows exactly whats coming next, he knows that road like the back of his hand.

Look when he goes into the first hairpin, their is no way you could know that was a hairpin bend, however he slows to the perfect speed to take that corner.

Some serious driving none the less, thats a track car, i doubt it’s really designed to tackle hillclimbs.

This is an Audi R8, the Le Mans racer (the model before the diesels). Although I dont have a clue why this nutter is driving it up a mountain road at these ridiculous speeds though. Incredible!

To Bigstuff, its not an R8 Le Mans car. For a start the car in that video is FAR too loud for an R8; anyone whose seen the R8 or R10 in action will understand. As stated by Mikeado in post #7, the car is a BMW Norma M20. Follow the link in Mikeado’s post to see the full spec on the car.
