I’ve just arrived in Tenerife to drive the new Gallardo LP560/4 Spyder (more on that when they eventually let me lay my sticky paws on it in the morning), but it really has got me thinking. If you had the money, would you be a Ferrari person, or a Lambo buyer?
They offer similar performance, but totally different driving characteristics for most of their range. The LP560 and the F430 are both utterly brilliant, but the Ferrari is more delicate where the LP560 has an edge of rawness that is utterly appealing. I have to say that personally, I seem to prefer the Lamborgini styling – it’s even more outlandish than it needs to be and has a technical edge that really appeals. Even the wheels are superb – something Ferrari never seems to get quite right. Then again, the Ferraris are blistering and have a certain texture that makes them very special, no matter the model. I’ve heard – amongst the usual superlatives – Ferraris called ‘arrogant’ and ‘poncy’ and Lamborghinis called ‘crass’ and ‘nouveau’. But if it came to the crunch, which would you have? Murcielago or Enzo? LP560 or F430? Fantasy Supercar League, we begin.
It’s probably worth noting that I’ve probably been a little swayed by the cars parked outside. A decent supercar can look a little otherwordly in the right circumstance and there’s a Trofeo car parked in the lobby. One like this:

But don’t worry, Lamborghini still make some questionable accessories for those of us less ‘financially gifted’ in the real world!
Between the F430 vs LP560-4, it’s Lamborghini.
& between the Murciélago vs Enzo, it’s the Enzo.

Most definatley Lambo ! I always thought Ferraris a bit puff.. with the red colour and the pranthing horthe..:D The F40 and the 250gto were macho well as mucho as a playboy gets but the rest were all almosts.. right sound, wrong wheels, right butt, wrong nose and vice versa just never perfect.. Lambos are butch, sometimes too butch and the Murcielago is just chav regardless the magnificent drive and if “gangsta” rappers, simon cowell, beyonce and the likes wouldn´t have one Lambos would be non plus ultra..
so what I´m saying is that if a Lambo were a Ferrari it would be the ultimate dream

If the money was mine, would I be a Ferrari or Lambo man? I stopped developing my personality in the late 90’s. So when you say Ferrari, I always envision a F355 GTS – anything after that is just “new” and not as beautiful. All though, the new California is nice. Murcielago is King, but you should never meet your heroes, so I would get one of those Ferrari California-cars. I mean, what if someone saw you in one of those rear-engined cars?! How do you explain that? On second thought, what are we talking about Ferrari vs Lambo? That’s stupid boy thinking. It would be the Aston (the inexpensive one).

Comparing the current line-up of cars, I’ll take the Lambos without a shadow of a doubt. Ferrari have been constantly missing the mark since the 355, even though I don’t think the California looks all that bad.

Without any thinking from the 2006-2009 line-up I will definitely choose the Lamborghini. (the 599 and the 612 Ferrari’s have stupid looks)
Before that I will still choose the LAMBO but with some questioning. I mean the Miura, the Countach or the Diablo or a Ferarri. yeah ferrari can go to hell.
However, old ferraris look much better than these new ones (the 355, F50, testarossa)
P.S Brits are biased cuz they hate Ferarri from Formula1 last season

i would choose a lambo coz a supercar should look fantastic and look good in green or orange. they should have a sense of humour and ferraris just dont have that…well not anymore atleast
you can compare Gallardo and F430 but then comparison between Lambo and Ferrari stop, because any other cars they make are completely different. 599 is super GT, where Murcielago is pure supercar/trackcar. and 612 has no competitor in Lambo’s way. in other way Ferrari has some practicality and Lambo is just for flashing.

Just love their mad styling and the overall rawness of them. There’s no “heritage” nonsense with a Lambo. Its just a mad car for mad people who can afford them!!
And even looking at the old line-up, the countach and the Diablo always excited me more than the 575Marnello, F50 or 360 spyder.

To be honest just having the money to afford either one would be nice ;p. And even if I did then the choice is a hard one because they are both brilliant cars.
Of those two, Lamb. In my opinion, Ferrari hasn’t produced a single good-looking car in the past fifty or sixty years.
I’d rather have something else than a Ferrari or a Lambo though. An Aston Martin, for example.
Lambo, hands down. All the ferraris have been boring since the F40. I would probably have an F40 over any lambo though.
It all depends on price tag. If youve got 250k, then why go for either of them? you can get a Zonda or a gumpert. If youve got 100k, why not an Aston?
A super car should look ‘Super’ & the Lambo’s all have that bonkers look about them. The Ferrari’s haven’t look good since they had to do without the pop-up headlights.

its such a tough choice, personally i’m a murcielago man, but the f430 scuderia is, according to most reviews, the new benchmark in sports cars. so i’m undecided…..
on the other hand, if u have the money to buy either, u surely have the money to buy both! so thats the solution in my eyes!!!

Ferrari 599/612 from the current ranges. In fact, from any era, I’d take a Ferrari. 575, 355, 512, 365GTB/4, and of course the 250 GT Lusso – one of the best looking cars of all time in my opinion. The only Lambo I’d consider would be a Miura, purely because of the looks and the fact that it’s so iconic.
The problem with Lamborghini’s is that they always look better than they go, and you cant see the outside if you’re driving one. While modern Ferrari’s maybe somewhat ugly (though I think the 599 is gorgeous) you don’t see that on the inside while you’re having a whale of a time. Ferrari also have the racing pedigree and rich, successful history which Lamborghini don’t have. The current Lambo range is also entirely mid-engined, which unless you’re racing, is somewhat pointless in my opinion.

Lamborghini have the raw edge and appealing looks, but think about it. Ferraris are so much more subtle, and for me that’s why I would pick them.
On the other hand, an Aston DBS or a Porsche 911 are so much better in every respect (including price) That there is no question which one i would pick.

as nice as a lambo looks its not really that good on the road when compared to the ferrari and i think ferrari have more muscle behind them with the dat they get from f1 and there other races they do yes i know lambo do gt racing and all but what it comes down to is lambo goes for looks ferrai goes looks and power and manges to link both together for the best car ie the f40 f50 enzo and the schudria

i think personally i think you youll like one or the other doesnt matter as the both are very nice cars and the comparisons cant really be made due to the fact that the both go for different styles lambos all show and the ferrari is more layed back car in the sence that there easy to drive but still have the go to force your head back in your seat

lamborghini because they are just amazing. the reventon is so great and you can now buy it if you have the money. but you can only go 70mph on English roads and an alfa romeo 8c will easily do 70mph and looks phenominal. and 911s do not deserve a place in this discussion. aston martins do definetely though.

Modern day cars: Lambo. Come on, the Gallardo is so much more memorable and way cooler than the F430, and the Murcielago LP670-4 Super Veloce is my new dream supercar!
Though really it boils down to this:
If you want speed and performance, if you frequently find yourself at a track, then you’re a Ferrari man.
If you just want a huge, loud italian supercar that evokes rediculous terms like ‘theater’ and ‘drama’ amongst journalists, and looks silly and exaggerated just to be cool, it’s a Lamborghini for you. I love how outrageous they are. I want a bright metallic orange SV with the aeropack wing!
Outta the two, it’d be a Lamborghini for the outright madness. But if I had a choice I’d have something… not so lottery-ish.
lamborghini will win that question every time. The countach anniversary, espada and some of the more overdone reworkings of their original masterpieces will always cheapen the brand, but essentially ferrari haven’t made a lambourghini beating show stopper production car for a long time. F40 was amazing, f50 a dog, enzo extraordinary. But these are not directly comparable to “regular production” cars. Probably the last pretty production ferrari was the 550 maranello. But given that’s a GT, it still looks pretty lame when a contemporary diablo cruises past. The 430 has nothing compared with the Gallardo in terms of looks and if the enzo remans out of the equation, the 599 can’t compete with the murc. Its not really about performace after all…its about rudeness!
ok. more to the point, i do drive a 550 and while gallardos occasionally whizz past as i cruise at a fairly sedate pace, it does’t bother me much. “ponces” i think to myself. but when one day a black diablo rumbled past and my wife peered out of the window and said “what’s that”?? i knew exactly what she meant: i might as well have been driving a honda…

the ferrari! i’d feel like a cock driving in a lambo, and ferraris are always faster with less horsepower. there really is no argument, is there? and to everyone who says ferrari hasnt made a good looking car in recent years, what about the 360? what about the 550? what about the enzo? you can only compare two models of ferraris to lamborghinis, because they only have two models. whereas ferrari now has 5 models out. not including spyder versions.
The Lamborghini can take the Ferrari any day the Lamborghini is way to fast and has a great engine (depending on what kind of Lambo) so uhh?. Yeah!
It depends on what you are looking for.
If you want the better ’supercar’ then it’s the Lambo. The raging bull gives you the Darth Vader looks, the outrageous raw power and the in-your-face aggression. No doubt about it: if you want to show off and shout about your vehicle it’s gotta be the Lambo.
But the Ferrari is always the better car. The fact that Ferraris are consistently faster than the equivalent Lambo despite the apparently lower power output speaks volumes (Countach vs Testarossa; Diablo vs Maranello; Gallardo vs Modena). Ferraris are simply the better designed, better engieneered cars. They are built for connoiseurs who can appreciate a fine state-of-the-art fast car crafted with Italian passion rather than those who want a wannabe space-ship with headline grabbing figures and looks. The mindblowing engineering excellence and craftsmanship comes from Maranello. Lambo’s may be the better supercars, but Fezzas are the better cars. And real drivers (as opposed to car owners) know the difference.
And don’t forget the ‘heritage’. No, I’m not talking about the steamy-eyed ‘history’ and romance of races run decades before I was born. Ferrari is a company that was found for and remains primarily based on motor racing that happens to make fast road cars. Lamborghini is simply a road car manufacturer that specializes in 4-wheeled space-ships. If the cars were shoes, Ferraris would be Nikes – designed for and used in real competition, tamed for civilian use. Lambos would be Vans – they may look great, but would they be your first choice in a competitive race at the Olympics … or even school sports day?
I like to drive fine cars more than I like to be seen in a flash supercar. Amongst many other reasons, this is the most important one why I prefer Ferrari more than Lamborghini. I have a Ferrari – I drive it to work daily. It’s completely practical and fully reliable. And it’s the best drive I can imagine.

i would go with lambo for sure. especially with current line up of cars. the gallardo beats f 430. the enzo might beat the murcielago lp640 but but it couldnt beat the reventon or the new murcielago lp670 sv. plus i think the look of the lambos are way better
