Apologies for the lack of arythmia-inducing soundtrack, but its nice to know that the ‘Ring has been catching people out for a very long time. Check out the amount of cars that simply fall over, and the man who falls clean out of his car. I winced for him. Beetles really don’t do track days, do they?

The rings been catching people out for a lot longer than that
What’s with all the Beetles?
Clearly, the hot hatch had yet to be invented.
Amazing how easily cars from that era rolled.
There were no minis falling over though.
There probably were quite a few around there back then. But we didn’t se any of them:D
I like that for every car that rolls, all the remains of the previous one is entirelly removed.

Did everyone in those crashes survive Tom? The nordchieffe was a suicide track for cars back then. But the challenge that track has been for the past decades has made it famous.
makes you wonder why porsche stuck with the rear engined layout…
Everyone survived yes, no worries about that. The ‘Ring has been an icon for so long – but this is some of the funniest old footage I could find. No ABS/traction systems interfering with good old live axles here… Just goes to show how different ‘modern’ cars really are. And how much work Porsche must have done to get the 911 so bloomin’ good!
True the 911 really was hard work for porche but over the 40 years they have perfected them
The great Adenauer Forst. Best spot for watching on Tourist Weekends… Still today most of the “First Lapers” get that part of the Track very wrong… Not so many rolls today, but still great fun to watch. Hilarious!
it’s the one guy who actually fell out of his car (1:50 – grey beetle)… that bit’s just comedy gold.
How many times did that Orange beemer try to crash before he finally made it?
Bloody scary how many bits fall off old cars in a crash and I bet that convertible Beetles’ passengers are still giving the driver grief
