It’s another classic video. Smart car forcibly mated to ‘bike engine = insane rev mentalism.
Still one of my favourite videos. I drove one of these cars last year (ZX-R engined) - they’re pretty hard to master because the bike controls don’t translate very easily to footpedals; easy to stall.
Ok, so you don’t actually need this, but you want to have a go don’t you? World’s smallest donuts? There’s even some video of one of these doing endos on the web – which is silly but fun. I’m thinking of doing a series that celebrates cars with stupid engines stuffed into them…
what a brilliant piece of kit, a good example of some good old fashioned insane engineering.

That is comical, though I can’t imagine that helps the fuel economy of those cars any. Sort of takes away any practicality they ever had.
Though it would be most amusing to pull up to a guy in a mustang with one of those and watch him fade into the distance behind you.
Now that is car engineering at its finest! That is how we should all have our smart cars. That is Brilliant! It’s even more cool than the peel p50.
